A DeFi Education Fund and Ipsos poll of 1,545 people conducted in September found that 72% said it was at least somewhat important for politicians to support policies encouraging financial technology to be built in the United States. That included 35% who called it very or extremely important and 37% who called it somewhat important.
Only 9% said they were familiar with crypto, 5% with stablecoins, and 13% said it was very or extremely important for a candidate to encourage growth in blockchain, crypto and DeFi. Most respondents, 87%, said they had not held digital assets in the previous 12 months.
