Three Republican House members have asked Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang to attend a briefing on whether a Chinese intelligence agent had targeted him, Semafor reported. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren also wants him to testify about Nvidia’s chip sales to China and related matters.
Semafor said Huang’s relationship with President Donald Trump probably would not shield Nvidia from a more hostile Washington after the election. It reported that Republicans were planning tougher chip export controls, while victorious Democrats looked set to lead regulatory committees.
