Lionel Messi posted an Instagram ad in which ChatGPT teaches him a chess opening, but the digital board shows each side’s king and queen swapped. From that setup, the suggested “GOAT Horns” moves allow a forced checkmate on move four; on a correctly set board, the same moves do not force a mate.
OpenAI corrected the pieces in a separate ad for X, while the original video remained on Messi’s Instagram. The post drew roughly 1.9 million likes in about a day.
