Circle and ACI Worldwide announced a collaboration to test USDC settlement within existing banking systems in Latin America, starting with a pilot in Colombia. The companies plan to pair USDC with ACI’s Connetic platform to show how stablecoin settlement could run alongside traditional payments, not replace them. The Colombian test would use infrastructure ACI built for Bre-B, the country’s instant-payments network; the source does not say the pilot has begun.
