The U.S. Department of Justice announced a Super Intelligence Task Force to address the misuse of advanced AI by foreign actors, criminal groups and fraudsters. The DOJ did not give a timeline or explain how the task force would coordinate with other agencies.
Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward and Associate Deputy Attorney General Stephen Weiss will lead the task force. Weiss said the department also wants AI companies to strengthen risk reporting and internal controls so their technology behaves as intended.
