Luxor Raises $16 Million for AI Compute

Luxor Technology said it raised $16 million in a strategic round led by CMT Digital to expand its AI computing business. The round included primary and secondary capital, so the full amount was not necessarily new funding for Luxor. Canaan, MicroBT, Halo, Steelhead and angel investors also participated.

Luxor said it plans to use the funds to scale its cloud platform, support its AI hardware business, expand compute-derivatives trading and hire staff. The raise followed the September launch of Luxor AI, which extends the company’s Bitcoin-mining business into AI and high-performance computing.
