Sweden’s Government Offices will block ChatGPT and Claude on staff computers starting October 26, according to Sveriges Radio. It cited information security concerns and will allow Microsoft Copilot as the only approved AI tool after reviewing it and raising its security settings. It did not conduct the same review for ChatGPT or Claude.
Some employees can still use the blocked tools through an internal AI platform, but the press office has not said how many or under what restrictions. Copilot can include Claude models, and the Government Offices has not confirmed whether Claude is enabled in its version.
