Google announced Gemini 4 Carbon, a model for cybersecurity, coding and complex multi-step tasks. Access will initially be limited to a group of cybersecurity specialists; Google plans a broader rollout after further testing and safety improvements.
Google said Carbon ranked first in the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0 with 59 points. It reported scores of 88.2% for vulnerability discovery, 54.8% for exploitability testing and 71% for generating fixes that address vulnerabilities’ root causes. Google said the external cybersecurity benchmark results were obtained without the model’s protective guardrails enabled.
